This is a CD-ROM for Windows® XP, 2000 or Vista and Windows® Mobile-based Pocket PC (version 2002 or later) providing 2420 sq. kms. (930 sq. miles) of full colour seamless street mapping. The fully searchable index of over 109,000 entries includes streets, districts, stations, hospitals, junctions and selected places of interest and also includes full postcode search. In addition a large scale central section of Manchester is included. Typing in the search name will quickly display the relevant street map section.

                                     
Plan routes
Use full colour maps on a PC or Pocket PC to help you find your way. Simply click on the map to plan your route and see leg distance, compass bearing, journey length and estimated trip time.

Print maps
Create and print full colour personalised route maps at a scale of your choice. Add detailed notes to your maps and print your own route card. Long routes can be printed over several pages with automatic paging. Printouts are permitted for personal use only.

Move through four levels of seamless mapping
A fully indexed copy of our 1:600,000 Great Britain Mini Road Atlas and a Planner Map are also included. The Great Britain Mini Road Atlas has an index of over 4,400 towns and airports.

The software is designed for easy route planning and map management. Routes can be added by simply clicking on the map and adding waypoints. Leg distances, compass bearing and total journey length will be displayed as the route is built. The section of mapping to be navigated, routes, waypoints or the whole atlas can be copied between the Desktop PC and Pocket PC, Windows Smartphone or Road Angel Navigator 7000 Satellite Navigation System. All mapping is supplied on CD-ROM in Memory-Map's unique QuickChart™ file format, which allows the map to be quickly moved around the screen, even on a Pocket PC.

GPS Compatibility
Connect a GPS receiver to use real time positioning. Display a pointer arrow showing the direction, bearing and distance to the next waypoint. Create a warning zone and an alarm is activated should you enter (or leave) the zone.

  • Check the overall ascent and descent of your route with an interactive hill profile.
  • Save waypoints, routes and tracks for future use, send them via email, or even put them on your web page – great for planning a group trip!
  • Visualise your routes and tracks in continuous 3D landscape. Change the lighting to envision the hills during different times of the day or create Fly-through movies of your routes and tracks and save them for future use.
  • Create a digital journal by adding pictures, text, sound or other program files to any point on the map.  

Print maps

  • Print maps at the scale of your choice.
  • Automatic paging when printing maps containing longer routes and tracks.
  • Add detailed text to your maps – useful for creating route finding notes, recording details of hazards or highlighting areas of interest.
  • Print your own fully detailed route card with waypoints, compass bearings, distances and grid coordinates and add personal notes, photos and hill profiles.
  • Print maps showing 3D terrain on an accurate 2D scale map. Just a glance at the map shows all the hills and valleys, making it easy to interpret contour lines.  

Use on a Pocket PC or Windows powered Smartphone
